FIRST ANNIVERSARY: With my first tooth! But this one isn\u2019t always a sweet tooth. Sometimes it\u2019s the opposite. So much anger, so many claims, in that world of ours how could it be any different? But as always a lot of joy, that isn\u2019t inconciliable, there are reasons to be cheerful and happy. Eventually all of this brings about topics for songs, more or less vain. One year already! Or one year, finally! Some may be pleased this is coming to an end, nothing was forcing them to come and listen to them\u2026 For the others, I will keep posting songs, less regularly, but if you enjoy it, stay tuned, a song every month or in a fortnight, depending on my mood, sometimes with rawer or weirder things. Well, thanks for letting me know what you think, comments from the heart or from the ears are welcome, and we\u2019ll hopefully see you soon in a live setting with my indispensable accomplices and friends whom I\u2019m sincerely grateful to, Lolo for the corrections and the translations and Bruno for the posts and his unusual humour.<\/span><\/p>\n Chanson au r\u00e9pertoire des MOONJACKERS de 2013-2016, jamais enregistr\u00e9e, ici m\u00e9tamorphos\u00e9e par un riff d\u00e9bile, surgie alors que je me demandais de quelle fa\u00e7on prendre diff\u00e9remment ce morceau, riff qui a d\u00e9termin\u00e9 la suite et son traitement radical. Ceux qui connaissaient la version d’origine tr\u00e8s folk acoustique vont je pense \u00eatre surpris, l’ambiance change du tout au tout, avec m\u00eame un petit c\u00f4t\u00e9 new-wave. Dans les paroles j’ai essay\u00e9 de prendre le contre-pied de ce qui se dit d’ordinaire dans les chansons d’amour, ce qui de fait devient un peu plus r\u00e9aliste, et fait sans doute moins r\u00eaver les dames.<\/p>\n A song that used to be part of the 2013-2016 MOONJACKERS setlist but was never recorded, featured here in a mutated version thanks to a dumb riff and that I came up with as I was wondering how I could turn this track into something different. The riff led to what this version eventually became and to the radical process it went through. Those who knew the original version – in quite an acoustic folk vein – will – I suppose – be surprised, the mood has changed drastically, now with almost a new wave side to it. For the lyrics I tried to take the opposite way from what you usually hear in love songs, which makes it a bit more realistic, and is doubtlessly not as much the stuff of dreams for ladies<\/span><\/p>\n
